Backups: can you ever have enough?
Submitted by michaeldinn on Fri, 2012-03-23 07:36Everyone needs backups of their important data.
Any good IT person knows that while copying data to an external hard disk is better than nothing, but leaving the drive on top of the PC it backed up doesn't really win you protection against theft, fire, etc.
For a very well written checklist of things to consider when designing and planning a backup system, check out The Tao of Backup. It's awesome - even if it is an advertisement for someone's product.
